I decided on a whim to try out mini-landscape creation inside of various boxes and Altoids tins, and I'm so glad I did. It was so much fun creating the fantasy scenes, and always made me smile a bit when I closed a box and opened it back up again to see tiny creatures in their own little world. I definitely will be returning to this style of crafting in the future.
During the summer I go to a lot of music festivals, and one of my favorite parts is the tradition of giving away or trading "kandi," aka bead jewelry that tends to have words, phrases, or trinkets attached to them. This year, along with making a huge array of general words or phrases, I also made Pokemon kandi out of Pokemon cards and Pride kandi with various queer identities and content. I find creating them to be very relaxing, and seeing the look on someone's face when you give one away is priceless.
